I am writing to complain about my recent experience at one of your KFC locations, specifically the 1816 Memorial Blvd location in Murfreesboro TN. Tonight when I went inside to order my meal I had asked for the boxmeal, which in the image includes a drink. I’m not sure if I misspoke or maybe the cashier did not understand that I also wanted the drink, but he only rang me up for the meal. Which is fine, I ended up just getting a water. I thought the cashiers were supposed to up sale-anyway? That first mistake did not bother me much, but the experience only went downhill from there.
I was informed that my order would take four minutes to come out because they had to cook more biscuits. I let them know that I was fine with that and in all actuality I was slightly happy about it. Who doesn’t like a hot biscuit? When my food was finally ready and I went to get a fork there were none to be found in the dining room. I asked the KFC employee out in the dining room where the forks were and he went over to the fork bucket with me and confirmed that yes, they were out of forks. He promptly went to retrieve one for me. What I thought was odd though, was that over the next thirty minutes as I sat in the dining room eating my meal, no one came out to refill the forks.
My biggest compliant of the whole experience is actually concerning my food. Both my mashed potatoes and green beans were cold. I’m guessing that the cashier took them out of the warmer and set them on the counter while he was waiting for the biscuits to finish cooking, but they seemed even colder than four minutes out of the warmer would have caused. The next let down was the biscuit itself. Because I had actually waited for the biscuits to finish being cooked, I was excited to bite into a warm perfectly cooked biscuit. I was surprised to find that half the biscuit was still just dough and inedible. I’m eight and a half months pregnant and my under-cooked biscuit and cold sides slightly concerned me about the safety of the food.
I was disappointed by the whole experience.
Sincerely,
- Katie
