melissa sent a message to Dan Schulman – President and CEO of PayPal – Email Address that said:
As with any other business there is overhead associated with running that business.
I have never had an issue selling or using my Ebay or Paypal account for the last 12 years.
My selling activity has increased and i'm selling more electronic items although i'm selling many other non-electronic items as well yet I have had no issues from any sellers/buyers and have kept both accounts in great standing throughout the years.
To place a week to 21 day hold on my Paypal account is slowing down the running of a business.
As I explained 3 times to the 3 different people I spoke with today. Some items are made to order for example a bracelet becouse the specs could change and those with some of the pcs too specs change to that customer therefore we allow a 5 day window to make a good product.
Paypal is placing a hold until a tracking number is given and then any funds are released within 7 days....that's 12 days before any monies are realeased to put back into our business.
I got every excuse as to why this may be happening...The buyers account is dormant, you've had more sales recently, the items your selling....etc
Never did anyone say that there was an actual issue with the account.
I'm surprised Paypal is operating like this with all accounts and have spoke with several other sellers today that are not happy about the way Paypal is handling the "holding of money" for various transactions.
