Meinda sent a message to Doug McMillon – President and Chief Executive Officer of Walmart Stores, Inc. – Email Address that said:
Good Afternoon, Mr. Mc Million
I am following up with you regarding the email that was sent to you last month. It saddens me to know with a billions of people that frequent Wal-Mart, there is not an requirement for the employees/staff/managers ect to be CPR First Aid Trained. There are no AED's (Automated External Defribrillator in the stores. People perish for the lack of knowledge....Good Samartian Law has been put in place to protect anyone who does CPR with asking for money. OSHA (Occupational Health Safety) stated in an article Cardiac arrest is a leading cause of death in the United States. Each year, EMS responders treat about 360,000 victims of cardiac arrest before they reach the hospital. Less than 10 percent of those victim survive. Cardiac aresst can happen to anyone at any time. It is important for companies and organizations to implement AED programs so employees are trained to use them can mean the differences between life and death. I look forward to hearing from you in the near future.
