Rosemary sent a message to Marvin R. Ellison – President of J. C. Penney Company Inc.- email address that said:
Dear Mr. Ellison:
As a shareholder and consumer I reach out to you to voice my utter contempt for modern washing machine technology. Please, listen to what I have to say and then have your suppliers make a washing machine that truly works.
My old washing machine was held together with duct tape, bungee cords and a salad fork. I really didn't want to buy a new "Hi-efficiency" washing machine because the new ones require the purchase of another product to clean the machine. Logic tells me that if the washing machine is dirty, so are my clothes.
I'm on my second machine in two weeks and I am at my wits end. Six tablespoons of water will not clean y clothing and if I add more water from a nearby sink the washing machine starts to pump out the water automatically. Right now my washer is loaded with my malodorous brothers work clothes and after washing them twice they are still filthy.
What I really want is a machine that allows me to control the water level, wash time and agitator strength. If water conservation is necessary then I would agree to pumping my rinse water to a reservoir to use for the next wash.
When I wash my whites I wash once in cold water and then soak them overnight in hot water with detergent and bleach. This current washing machine will not let me do that.
I am very unhappy and I can't be the only one who wants to control a washing machine.
Thanks for listening,
Rosemary
P.S. Keep up the good work!
