Good afternoon sir, my name is Lois and I live in Tacoma WA. I purchased a gift for my husband and used my debit card . when I sent him in to return the items that he did not want they said that they could not give cash back. when paying with debit card it is the same as cash . because it come right out of the bank . and it was a week later anyway the charge on my debit was on my statement .furthermore I shop old navy on a weekly base for my self and my kids and always use my debit and have never had a problem with getting cash back. but since I sent my husband in I believe they choose not to give him cash back with original receipt as well as gift receipt. my problem is this first of all they should not allow one customer cash back on debit and not another , policy should be followed and on your return policy it does not say if you pay by debit card it has to be put back on that card. only if it is a credit card . I believe the reason is because it is just like cash . IF a customer decides that they want to return something for what ever reason and it is in the time allotment and it is not worn tag on with receipt they should be able to get cash back so they can purchase what they want, IF they put it back onto the debit the bank can take up to 3 to 5 days to post it to your account . clearly old navy receive their money when item was purchase so why should a customer have to wait to get their money. I am hoping that this is a store error and that this will be rectified promptly. I have been in the customer service business for over 25 years and I know one think for sure the companies that have great customer service and return policies are still around . please understand that I am not asking for anything that is unacceptable . you get your money (old navy Gap inc) and I should get mine back with out the hassle . THANK YOU , I will be waiting for your response . LOIS LOYAL OLD NAVY CUSTOMER
