Dear Mr. O’Leary, My booked flight from Stuttgart to Manchester on 23rd December – Michael OLeary email address

Katriana  sent a message to Michael O’Leary – CEO, Ryanair – Email Address that said:

Dear Mr. O'Leary,
My booked flight from Stuttgart to Manchester  on 23rd December was recently changed, so that instead of arriving at 21:15, it now arrives at 22:40. This is extremely inconvenient to me, as it pushes me past the time when I will be able to get public transport from Manchester to my home, and could force me to spend the night at Manchester airport, before getting the train home on Christmas Eve, or else to have to pay for a taxi home. However, there is another flight, on the same day, going from Frankfurt Hahn to London Stansted, and arriving in the early afternoon. I considered buying this flight before I bought the original flight, but decided that the travel costs from London to the north would make the trip more expensive. Now that Ryanair has changed my original flight, the Hahn-Stansted option would be by far cheaper and more convenient than flying to Manchester and getting a taxi from there. However, when I asked to change my flight to the much cheaper Hahn-Stansted one, I was told that I would not be reimbursed for the price difference, meaning that I will make a significant financial loss.
I understand that your (Ryanair's) policy is not to reimburse flights that have been changed by three hours or fewer, but you must surely understand that, when the time-change is at night, a difference of under three hours can still have significant impact on further travel, and, in this case, could see me spending the early hours of Christmas Eve on an airport bench, before being able to get a train home.
My original flight cost me 76.99€, and the flight to which I want to change is now 47.99€ (I believe when I first asked for reimbursement, two days ago, it was 39.99€). The price difference is, for a student struggling to finance a year abroad while the pound plummets, a significant one, and would go a good way to making up for the amount I would have to spend on getting the train from London to my home. Please could you therefore allow my flight to be changed, and for me to be refunded the difference in price? Not to do so would seriously discourage customers from booking in advance with Ryanair, since the product they thought they bought could suddenly change, and would certainly discourage me from flying with Ryanair again.
Yours sincerely,
Katriana
