Angie sent a message to Gary C. Kelly Chairman, President, and CEO, Southwest Airlines Co. – email address that said:
Dr. Mr. Kelly,
After a trip that our family took in July, we were sent an email by you that apologized for the technology outage, which led to an extra-long wait for our flight. You also issued 50% off coupons, which was extremely generous and greatly appreciated.
When I went to book a new flight for the 6 of us yesterday, I accidentally clicked the wrong button for one of our flights (same destination, same departure time, just not non-stop). I did not realize my error until I clicked to finalize. I quickly (within 5 minutes) call Southwest and they graciously cancelled that "accidental" flight for me.
When I went back in to re-do the flight, it wouldn't let me use the 50% off coupon. I know the system thinks it was already used. I called customer service and they had no idea how to fix the problem.
I am asking if you could tell me how to solve this problem. I already had to book the flight - because the lady said there were only 7 seats left on the flight and we have 6 people. I was wondering if I could get a refund for the difference in the cost of the flight - without the coupon?
The name on the flight in question is my mothers: Joyce Mealy.
I appreciate any help you can give!
Sincerely,
Angie
