Tara sent a message to Mark Fields – President and Chief Executive Officer of Ford Motor Company email address that said:
Ref: Possible F250 Truck Donation New or Used to Montanova Stable Foundation
Dear Mr. Fields:
Thank you in advance for reading my letter. My name is Tara , daughter of Wayne (former Vice Chairman from 1996 to 2001). My Dad passed away in 2007, and he loved the Ford Motor Company with every fiber of his being. We have been a Ford Family for over 50 years. I think you knew him personally.
It is with great humility I ask you to consider making a much needed truck donation to a nonprofit I support and help direct called Montanova Stable Foundation
It is here, in the middle of the beautiful Virginian horse country, where young lives are being transformed daily. These children come from homes where they have suffered abuse, gone hungry, and never known what it is like to hear a kind word or be loved. Once the children enter the barn at Montanova, filled with horses that somehow know they are hurting a very special bond of love and trust is created. The children are transformed and empowered to become highly functioning individuals. The chain of suffering is broken for these children. The demand is high and our funds are small.
Currently, the foundation uses a 1994, F250 with 150,000 miles. The undercarriage of the truck is almost gone but the farm is still able to move hay with the truck. The truck’s hauling days are over, so we cannot move horses to shows or to receive emergency vet services. I will be happy to provide pictures of the truck for your review.
I would be happy to meet with you the next time I am in Michigan to visit my mom, if you would like to talk further about the possibility of a donation to this program. Thank you again for taking time from your busy schedule to read my letter, Mr. Fields.
My Very Best Always,
Tara
