Allen sent a message to Mark Fields – President and Chief Executive Officer of Ford Motor Company email address that said:
Mr. Fields, I am a Ford supporter and haven driven Ford vehicles since 1963. I retired in January 2016 and purchased the 2014 ford laritt super crew 4x4 that my company had purchased new. At the 30,000 mile check up by Anderson Ford in Anderson, SC, I was told there was not a problem and I have the documentation to this fact. Subsequently, I purchased the vehicle when I retired. The transmission continued to shift slipping between third and fourth in the up and down shift. I carried the vehicle into Edwards Ford in Wahalla, SC and they contacted Ford Hot Line to help diagnosis the problem. Transmission had to be removed and dissambled. They found 3rd and 4th gear clutches were burned and I have these parts.
My issue is this costed me $1893.57 because the vehicle is now 9000 miles out of warranty.
I feel that when I took vehicle to Anderson Ford for service at 30,000 miles, they deleted the automatic transmission concerns from the work order stating they found no problem.
I am writing to you because Anderson Ford is an authorized Ford dealer and the problem should have been corrected while the vehicle was under warranty.
I have a case numbber of which was given to me by your representative with no resolution.
I would appreciate your consideration into helping me with this expense.
Allen
