Dear Sir White,
As current a first-year-student in Science of drug at the University of Lille 2 in France, I would like to submit my unsolicited application for an internship in quality control or research and development among Abbott. This placement will take place from April 2017 to July 2017 and will allow me to pass successfully my first-year MSc in science of drug.
I had previously the opportunity, through an internship in England in the pharmaceutical department of the University of Greenwich, to practice all the knowledge and skills in chemistry obtained at the University. This work experience, during which I was led to develop solid lipid nanoparticles (SLN) to be incorporated into curcumin in the fight against cancer, was rewarding in that it has allowed me to focus my career in this sector.
Plus, I had the chance to perform a four-month internship in India this year in the pharma analytical testing laboratory of Shiva Analyticals. I was working in the quality control laboratory where I was doing routine analysis using different analytical instruments.
My interest to continuously discover new places is part of my dynamic personality. In each work experience I have had, I have gained a lot, as much in new skills as socializing. I am a passionate person when I start something, I want to achieve it and learn even more. Currently, I am being given tools to reach my aim; however, an immersion in the work reality is in my mind the best way to learn and practice.
I am eager to share my knowledge and skills to help you in your own goals namely “..fullfulling the promise of human potential, in all places, in all aspects and stages of life..”.
Coming in South Africa does not scare me, I left my family and the island where I grew up to study in metropolitan France. This has made me an adventurous open-minded person. This placement in an unknown environment would be the opportunity to discover a new way of working, living and thinking.
