Jim sent a message to Jeff M. Fettig – Chairman and CEO of Whirlpool Corporation – Email Address that said:
Dear Sir,
I am a 70 year old retired computer programmer living in Sun City in Georgetown, Texas. The situation you see described here has been extremely frustrating and stressful. Fortunately I have options short of suing you, which it may come to before this is over and the damages will make the price of a dishwasher seem like nothing.
I live in Sun City in Georgetown, Texas. There are 11,000 homes here and another 1,000 are being built.
We have a web site where we can post stories about vendors we have dealt with. All residents are urged to search this site before dealing with any company. I am going to post this experience there. I can guarantee at least 1,000 residents will read it and countless more in the future. It will keep them from being harmed by your company. Warren Buffet said it takes a lifetime to build a reputation and only a few minutes to lose it. You have lost yours.
I bought a Whirlpool manufactured KitchenAid dishwasher about a year ago. It does a great job washing dishes BUT the door started leaking. It is under warranty but it seems that Whirlpool is doing whatever it can not to honor that. We are awaiting parts now so the repairman can make a FIFTH visit to try to fix it. This time he is replacing a defective tub Whirlpool sent before to replace the original tub. This will be the third tub. It caused damage to the door. So remember this. When Whirlpool says they warranty something and will fix or replace it, fixing may drag out for weeks and they will do whatever they can to not replace it. This fiasco has been going on now for six weeks. All the taking apart and putting back together just makes it worse.
Sincerely,
Jim
