Maureen sent a message to Terry J. Lundgren- Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Macys, Inc. – email address that said:
Prior to starting work, I spent 45 minutes shopping for items and attempting to purchase those items with gift cards. Your system would not allow it. I contacted your 800 number and encountered a young woman who did not listen. I explained what had occurred and it was as if I was speaking a foreign language. She was difficult to understand because I could not hear her clearly. I still have no idea what she was trying to say in one sentence. I had to keep explaining what had occurred and she did not comprehend. Finally, she came on the line and asked again what I needed.
I accessed the order and then it disappeared. I have no merchandise.
One item, Easy Spirit Oakhill flats in pewter, showed available yesterday but today only wine is available. There is no way you sold out on every size overnight. That is a form of bait and switch. Absolutely disgraceful!
I called and asked to speak with a supervisor. The young lady did everything but sing and dance to try to persuade me to let her help me. I spoke to a young man.
YOU WASTED 45 MINUTES OF MY VALUABLE TIME AND I AM TOTALLY ANNOYED. This is not the way to win customers.
