Dear Mr. Daymond John:
Ever since I can remember I have had the gift of creativity. I was always good at art (drawing), and fashion design. In Junior High I took Home Economics and also began taking sewing classes at Singer. I’ve designed robes, suits, dresses and the list goes on and on. It was during this time that I realized that fashion and design would be an integral part of my life and purpose.
For years, I've had an idea to accent gloves. With the help of my mother my idea was put to paper, and my mother drew the diagram. In 2004 my idea was submitted to be patent and in 2009 the patent was registered. The concept was put into motion, but I was unable to tap into the right source to move the concept forward. Time went by and I lost steam in trying to promote my concept. I believe that timing is everything and I believe that the time is now for me to promote my product, with your help.
I travel often for my job, and on one of my flights I found myself praying that God open a door for my glove concept to be given new birth and that I would be directed to someone who could help me make this idea a reality. As I read the magazine “SKY Delta, New York”, Page 28, I ran across your article, your history and your current affiliation with Shark Tank. Now, I have to tell you my mom watches the show faithfully and had suggested that I contact you but I wanted to be sure that the timing was right. Prayerfully this is God opening an avenue for my concept to be re-birthed.
Synopsis of Concept:
Gloves have been worn for years to protect from the elements and provide an added level of support and comfort. Gloves make a fashion statement and at one time in history were mostly worn by the elite. My concept will allow for one pair of gloves to be transformed to accommodate any outfit and wardrobe. From urban to sophisticated, my accessory will provide class, style and make a statement to both the wearer and the observer.
Objective:
Many people have a large collection of gloves which they use for different occasions. In addition, my concept will provide the ability to take a simple pair of gloves and instantly convert them into an integral part of ones' total ensemble. This would in turn give the wearers' outer apparel greater fashion appeal for a fraction of the cost. The original pair of gloves will be transformed from an unnoticeable accessory to a focal point of one's total attire. The versatility in fabric, color, use and patterns that can be used for my concept is limitless. From driving gloves to work gloves this concept has everyone covered.
Mission:
• To afford Men, Women, Boys, and Girls a versatile alternative of wearing one pair of gloves many stylish ways.
• One Glove – Millions of Looks.
• To Enhance glove wearing by having a variety of looks without purchasing multiple gloves.
