Dear Mr. Folger,
Your most urgent and personal attention is invited to my earlier letter written to you in personal capacity over three weeks back which remains unreplied and unacknowledged till date. It is most surprising that such a senior executive of a top most German company does not have the basic courtesy or decency of replying to a client who has purchased eight cars from MBIL ever since its inception in India.
Once again you are requested to please go thru the following and let me have a reply only from you.
1. I bought my eighth car the new C 220 CBU when I was invited to Pune by your predecessor for the launch in early 2015. I have bought six E class and two C class cars.
2. I have had very cordial personal relations with all your predecessors who would call me a ‘friend of Mercedes’. I also possess a vintage Mercedes which was resorted to its original mint condition with the help and support of MBIL.
3. The new C which I bought runs fine on smooth roads but the body rattles on rough roads which is most irritating. The body rattle is most annoying and I have only clocked 6000 kms in 19 months as I just do not feel like driving the same. For your kind perusal I may add that my 530D BMW is five years old and there is not a single noise in the car.
4. Your worthy German engineer and your dealer M/s Silver Arrows have done their level best but till date no satisfactory result has been achieved. After every adjustment and fine tuning the body rattle reduces only temporarily. Six times the car has been to the workshop and several times certain adjustments have been carried out at my clinic.
5. I would like to place on record my appreciation here for your dealer M/s Silver Arrow, they are very good and efficient who have rendered excellent after sales service. In particular I must mention that their GM Mr. A. Pandita has been most cooperative, helpful has done his level best. I have absolutely no issue with the service rather I feel guilty to have to bother them from time to time.
6. This is to most earnestly request you to have the car inspected by your senior technical person and find a solution. I am willing to send the car to Pune at my own expense if so required. To resolve matters I am also perfectly willing to give back the car and take a GLC or the forthcoming new E class by paying the difference. Sir, if no satisfactory solution is possible please let me know so that I sell off the car and never buy a Mercedes again. Sorry to say but the quality/sturdiness of Mercedes Benz has been compromised off late.
