Mrs. Gindi sent a message to Lee Kun-Hee Chairman, Samsung – email address that said:
To the CEO of Samsung:
Dear Mr. Lee
I sent the following letter to the North America Office of the President. I didn't realize at the time that my letters would never reach the intended party, and instead would be hijacked, read and responded to by one of the most unprofessional representatives of your company, that I believe you would be shocked at their attitude and response.
At the end of this letter, please read the follow up that I wrote which after writing it, lead to the realization that the same person I was then complaining about, was THE ONLY ONE READING MY LETTER!! It is a totally rigged system.
I pray that after you read everything, you and you alone will be able to help me - please..
Dear Sir:
A few years ago, you were kind enough to help me with a leak issue that almost destroyed my ceramic floors, walls, furniture and paint. When I contacted you about this issue, your company was already aware of this problem and after contacting you, my information and desperate situation was given top priority and I was awarded a fair and equitable solution to replace broken and damaged areas of my home.
Unfortunately, my success with this washer has now come to an end. It is part of the machines that have caused more significant damage and are dangerous to operate and use.
During the spin cycle, my washer bangs extremely loudly, shakes uncontrollably and does not expel water. It cannot be used for fear of injury to body or property even on the gentle cycle with minimal amount of clothing in it.
Since my last letter to you, I have become unemployed due to an accident at work that has left me partially disabled. I need your help very badly and I know you will be there.
Please help me again, I know you can and are dedicated to doing so.
Thank you,
Mrs. Gindi
Second letter following terrible phone call which caused me physical anxiety and worry:
Dear Sir:
I just received a phone call from your representative, Lashonda. who informed me she was totally speaking on your behalf. I am appalled at her cold hearted, insensitive and robot like responses to my particular plight. It's completely unfair and a gross lack of compassion to expect a person who has become disabled, and living dollar to dollar, to accept the low value of the rebate you are offering.
You have the power to do the right thing and either replace my machine, or offer a rebate to sufficiently cover the cost of a new SAMSUNG washer.
The amount of the rebate, which is $250, plus the $150 you add if another SAMSUNG product is purchased, is not enough to cover the cost of a new machine. The alternative to repair this defective machine is NOT an option, due to the bad history I have already delineated to you.
Your representative, Lashonda H. refused to actually hear the human side to this saga, she did not understand the plight of people who at no fault of their own, are suffering because of SAMSUNG's negligence , bad manufacturing, and defective dangerous appliances. She simply answered as if reading from a script, and absolutely assured me she was speaking to me as YOU would speak to me. I find it hard to believe that as the President, you would give that much authority and responsibility to someone as unqualified as Lashonda H.
I am NOT the one at fault here. I would have kept this machine had it been working correctly for the life of the appliance. I am not the one who designed, produced and created this machine. I am not the one who let the public down. I am not the one who didnt use good will in the purchase.
I AM the one who is suffering. I am the one who has been trying to hand wash while I wait for a fair and just remedy.
I will continue to wait for YOUR reply, and know if I had the opportunity to talk to you personally, you would help me in a much better and more equitable way. If I could only explain to you, as the President, you could with a wave of your hand do the right thing.
I bought with my hard earned money; now Samsung owes me that.
Mrs. Gindi
So, you see Mr. lee that i have called and written and spoken and just about begged for more help. Please please help me.
Mrs. Gindi
