On 11/25/2016, I attempted to make a purchase on line. I had a problem getting the additional 20% discount when using your JC PENNEY charge card. I then called customer service and was told that the discount did not apply till 5:00PM. The add sent to me online made no indication of that time restriction. In addition I was told to complete the order and the discount would show up. I did that but the discount did not show up. The customer service person said the order could not be canceled as it was too late to do so. I am very upset. My time is as valuable as the person who represents your company. Additionally, I would not have made this purchase without the discount. If not adjusted, it will also cost me more time and gasoline to return the purchase.
I am requesting the 20% discount be applied to my purchase as well as an additional consideration for the aggravation I have experienced and the misinformation given to me be company employees.
I have been a loyal shopper even before I began using charge cards and I hope that I will want to continue shopping at JC Penney. Your prompt attention to this matter will be greatly appreciated
