Ruth sent a message to Stefano Pessina – Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Walgreens Boots Alliance email address that said:
Dear Mr. Pessina,
Doubt if I will get a response to this email, but I am in shocked at how I was treated when I called this evening to report a problem I was having with Walgreens.
I am 71.5 years young. I spent 12 hours today working on photos getting an order ready to take advantage of your 9 cents per photo on orders of 100 photos.
When I went to send in my order, I discovered my local store was temporarily out of order. I must have it in my tomorrow.
I called to report the problem and the man on the phone told me to just send it to another store. I told him the next store is over 30 miles one way and at my age in this Michigan weather I do not drive that far. He just said - OH WELL! Too BAD! Nothing I can do for you.
Well I know better than that. I may be old, but I wasn't born yesterday.
He could have had them sent in and mailed to me if he would have cared at all about his customers.
I can not believe he was so rude to me and could care less how many hours I worked on this project for nothing.
I certainly hope you look into this matter. I promise you I wont hold my breath.
That man is not doing your company any good.
