Pedro sent a message to Ian McLeod – CEO, Southeastern Grocers – Email Address that said:
Today at 230 my wife was mistreated both physically and verbally both by cashier named Roni and her friends who were behind us, while my wife was packing our own groceries, cashier by the name od Roni, snatched in a very rude manner the bags from her hand, my wife had to step back with her hands up, upset by her rudeness, when it was time to get the cashback requested with the receipt, she did not acknowledge the cashier, and that was when her verbal rant began, up to that point we were just leaving, but the cashiers and her friends behind started screaming at my wife and uttering nasty comments toward her, that is when we decided to complaint to the manager, who was eating at his office, we had to wait until he finished, but he said he sees nothing wrong, while the cashier and her friends continued screaming insults to my wife, he dis nothing, she left the store in tears fearing for her security, as she was targeted for being a Latina, this this happened at store #0233. RACISM was an issue, that was why the cashier felt safe targeting my wife. She has never been afraid to buy in any of the local stores, but know is terrified of entering this particular Winndixie, as the insults and racist rants by the cashier, her friends and other customers have left her in a state of shock. If you are a paying customer the least you expect while shopping for your groceries is a littlebitof respect, and to feel safe.
