Linda sent a message to Greg D. Carmichael – Chief Executive Officer of Fifth Third Bancorp – Email Address that said:
Dear Mr. Carmichael,
I am sending this email regarding a new monthly service charge of $11.00 on my checking account.I have been with 53(Brandt Pike, Dayton, OH branch) since 04-10-2015.
When I set up the account with the Manager(Daniel), he assured me that as long as I showed my former college student ID and was unemployed, I would not be charged a service fee.
I called 53 today and explained that I am still unemployed and that this fee would cause me great hardship. The representative stated there was nothing he could do.
I am actively searching for employment, but as a single 56 yr. old woman, I am having difficulty.
I am sure you are very busy handling much bigger issues than mine, but I would greatly appreciate an extension on this service fee waiver while I continue to search for employment. I do expect the economy to pick up with Mr. Trump in office and I believe him when he tells us all "the poor will not be forgotten."
Many companies and major corporations have made deals and sacrifices for the good of our country and its people.
I would sincerely appreciate your attention to my temporary request. Thank you in advance for your time.
Sincerely,
Linda
