Ellen sent a message to William C. Rhodes III – President and Chief Executive Officer of AutoZone, Inc. – Email Address that said:
Mr. Rhodes lll,
I would like for you to know that I am a mail carrier and my truck is my job. So when I needed a caliper I went to your store in Milan since it was the closest store for me. I couldn't get the part till 6pm. so I did go back and got the part. Then by the time we were ready to put it on we realized it was the wrong part. So then I go to the store in Humboldt that said they had the part. Buy when I got there they said we were installing it wrong but I purchased another one anyway because I was sure the installation was right. I take this one to my machanic and yet again he says the past is wrong. So after calling Humboldt store back they finally figure out that it is in the computer wrong. Actually the driver side was listed as the passenger side and vise versa. So since my machanic was closer to Paris than Humboldt. I have to drive to Paris to pick up and exchange for the right part. And even after getting them the parts were backwards in the computer they looked at me like I was crazy. So after missing 4 days of work and driving several miles trying to get the right part I was stressed out and exhausted but none the less I am back to work. But after all the stores I only had 1 person out of several even apologize to me for my trouble. I am a hard working single mom and I'm sure not wealthy enough to have missed those days of work and all the money on gas. 1 person even said well computers make mistakes. Yeah well someone put it in the computer wrong I'm not that stupid. I'm really not asking for anything but your people need to check the parts before they just start handing them out especially when they had the core in their hand but didn't check the new one to make sure it matched. A lot of time and money could have been save if he had checked the past first.
Sincerely
Ellen
