Below is an email I sent to your customer service department. I am glad to forward the entire email chain.

Dear Customer Service,

This is not acceptable. I have CCd the CEO of your company, Christopher G. McCann because I suspect this is not the first time this issue has come up, and I can assure you I will not be using your services in the future, and I will be sure to complete a Yelp review and comment about this issue on Facebook.

I can understand that a delivery was not made on the scheduled date because of being unable to reach the recipient. However, as requested with your online forms, I submitted the recipients address and phone number. There is no excuse for why the delivery was not made (now, 2 days late) as either myself or the recipient could have been contacted to make delivery arrangements. Of course, this never happened, and it is perplexing why this is so difficult.

I placed an order in good faith that your company would deliver the smile as scheduled. I have now contacted you for the third and final time, and it is clear that the responses I am getting are platitudes. I would greatly appreciate an immediate resolution to this problem. Also, it would be helpful to know which local florist you have contracted with. I would offer advice to the executive management of 1-800-Flowers.com to consider a vetting process or some quality assurance improvement assessment of how our product reaches its final destination. Its clear this is an opportunity to significant improvement.

Thank you.
