Gregg Dudgeon sent a message to Andrew House President and Group CEO, Sony Computer Entertainment, Inc. - email address that said:
Greetings Mr.House,
I have no idea if this message actually will get to you or not. I used to be a huge fan of sony playstation. It was something I grew up around and loved the games that came out on it. However as I got older there were some issues I began to have. Some for example: playstation put someone elses credit card on my account, I had no idea it was being used and then when I went to talk to customer support about it they just switched cards and charged me for the items that I would have acted differently on since my bill was not being updated correctly. I was locked out of my account and basically blackmailed for sonys mistake. I have found the team to be EXTREMELY greedy and trapping. What I mean by this is the spend 100 get 15 promotion. Which is awesome to me. Except that I come to find out if you buy your 100$ games, that happen to sell for 99.99, your company doesnt recognize that amount. One month during the promotion I spent over 300$ and the customer support team couldnt be bothered to fix the issue. I even had evidence from my bank account that showed the problem. I have never gotten any help from sony and it seems like the issues continue to grow. I sent this because MAYBE you will get this and MAYBE you will be able to make a change that doesnt screw over your customers. It is pretty shitty because you have the market cornered. It is either sony or microsoft for gaming. I cant include nintendo because they have carved out their own spot that isnt quite the same as gaming on the consoles. In the event that you do get this, I highly suggest you look at the business model for your customer service sector. It is horrible, so bad that every review place for customer service shows that playstation is one of the worst. I feel like you should spend some focus on that issue because that is your biggest point of contact with your customers. I think if you took a close inspection of it you would see just how many people you are burning to make an extra penny. Like my example, because there was a small time discrepancy and a game was purchased at 99.99 (a penny below) your team couldnt be bothered to give me back 15$ after spending 300$+ on your company. That really says something.
Thanks,
Gregg Dudgeon
