Mr. Carmichael,
I am a Vietnam Vet and have been a Fifth Third Customer for years.
I paid off my Grandaughters college loans with two checks from my MMA account and I cannot get a photo/truncate/picture of one of the checks because the associate at the Merchants Walk branch says it was imaged in our sytems due to SALLIE MAE converting the check to electronic transaction meaning they did not present the check to the bank .
Well, it got presented to SOME bank and imaged SOMEWHERE and I need it for my tax records. This is a poor excuse for any bank to tell a customer. Especially poor to expect that customer to just take it and be happy with the story.
I tried at my bank and now I am trying at the top.
If this is truly what I can expect when I write a check on any of my accounts with Fifth Third bank, I need a new bank.
