Mrs Nicola Haswell sent a message to Akio Toyoda President and CEO, Toyota Motor Corporation - email address that said:
wanted to say thankyou for such fabulous engineering of Toyota Yaris my mother owned up until last week when she was in a road traffic accident with my sister and niece as passengers. if it hadnt been for her Yaris being so well engineered, they would all be dead as my mothers car spun on the motorway before rolling twice into the central reservation. Because of this ,she has put down a deposit on a second hand 2012 model Yaris. happy to give more details and photos of car after the accident. The accident was not my mothers fault, but an inconsiderate driver who ran her into the central reservation. The police are still trying to find the offending motorist.
