steven webster sent a message to William S. Demchak - Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of The PNC Financial Services Group - Email Address that said:

I guess I was naïve, but when my wife died in June, and then my checks started bouncing because the back office at PNC had issued an alert that I was deceased, my stress at losing my wife after 47 yrs. of marriage and then the anger and frustration that my attempts to pay off the funeral home and cemetery were being thwarted by PNC, I had expected PNC to offer my some monetary compensation for my distress. The local bank manager and the person in the main office I spoke with both offered their apologies, but isnt it a usual business practice to offer monetary compensation when the business makes an egregious mistake. I have not consulted an attorney; I am making this inquiry as a very long time PNC customer.
