Paul Young sent a message to Carlos Ghosn President and CEO, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. - email address that said:
We purchased a Nissan Micra 1.5d in August 2013 only to find that the 2nd remote did not work. After taking the car back the CMH Nissan Sandton South Africa several times, they could not fix the problem. We gave up and drove the car with the one remote.
On the 29th July 2017 my wife had here bar and car keys stolen. As we could not start the car using the second remote, it was towed to CMH. Since then we have been fobbed off with all sort of excuses as to why they could not get the controller to work. Even asking us if we had not cloned the controller. It had never worked!! Eventually they reported that they would have to replace the controllers and the control box as nothing they did could get the existing one to work.
Total cost born by OUR insurance is over R8000,- to date. This should be for the account of CMH as it was and still is their problem. Report back from CMH has been practically nonexistent. We had to lodge a complaint to Nissan Head Office in Pretoria to get any responses.
On the 14th September 2017 we received a call from Pretoria saying that we should have our car by Friday 15th and that CMH would be contacting us. Today, NO CONTACT AND NO CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Although we asked on several occasions as to the offering of a courtesy car, we were told that they would take it up with management and come back to us. They never did!
Our impression of Nissan has been so disgusting and incompetent that we will NEVER AGAIN buy or have anything further to do with Nissan.
