Mr Kenneth Melvin sent a message to Michael OLeary - CEO, Ryanair - Email Address that said:
Hi Mr OLeary,
Myself and my family were going on holiday to salou today 19th september, our booking ref VW6LWI,was due to fly out from glasgow prestwick at 17.15 departure.
We had to cancell our holiday due to my wife falling ill,we contacted your airline to inform them of this and they told us to send a doctors letter into ryanair to confirm and detail of how we could not fly.
This we did without hesatation only to be told we would not be getting a refund on any of our paid flights,if this is the case and your airline had no intensions of giving us a refund of any sort, then your airline has just cost us a further £18 for doctors letter which iam led to believe that it was just a waste of time getting doctors letter.
We are not a family that is well off money wise, having to save for a hole year so i can take them on holiday.
I would be greatfull if you looked into this for me,i know that you are extreamly busy with all that is going on with your airline at the moment,as i said i would be greatfull.
yours sincearly
Kenneth Melvin
