Re: Mortgage Account Past Due Payment
Dear Mr. King,
During the months of April 2016, and April 2017 I became past due on my mortgage payment because of an oversight on my part. While I always make great effort to honor my debts and fulfill my responsibilities, at the time of the past due payments I was working 60 hours a week and attending college as a double major engineering student which occupies much of my time. These circumstances are very demanding, and took their toll on me. At the time of the past due payments I believed I was on schedule with my payments. As you can see by looking at my account, I have taken steps so this does not happen again. I have since set up an automatic draft from my BBT account to avoid any past due payments and honor my debt.
I am now trying to make a purchase; however, I am having difficulties receiving an affordable rate due to the impact of having a past due payment(s) on my credit report. I am hoping that you can give me a second chance and will consider removing these past due payments from my credit report as a gesture of goodwill. This kind gesture would sincerely be appreciated and an invaluable gift to my wife and I.
I sincerely hope that there is redemption at BBT, and I beg you for such consideration. I thank you again for the time you have spent reading this letter.
Very hopefully yours,
Anthony Scott
