JoAnn Adamson sent a message to Steve Easterbrook- CEO of McDonalds - email address that said:
Good evening Mr. Easterbrook,
I tried sharing my comments on the McDonalds Feedback site, but was unsuccessful. So, here is what I want to share, in hopes it can make a difference and improvement:
It is 6:07 PM on October 4 and I am sitting at the local Subway Restaurant a few blocks from the McDonalds I walked out of an hour ago. I am a regular customer at store #29289 on 213 Madison Street in lower east side Manhattan. Over the past few years I have tolerated some unacceptable conditions at this store, but lately it has gotten much worse.
This evening I could not enjoy a meal here due to the EXTREMELY FILTHY AND DISGUSTING CONDITIONS OVERALL. Staff were literally walking thru paper waste and food garbage behind the counter and it looked like a cyclone had whirled thru the dining area...papers and garbage lying all over and tabletops so dirty my husband wipes ours down with his own sanitizer before we sit down to eat. I ordered two salads to go, which I paid for, then the gal at the register told me they didnt have any salads. When I asked for my refund I also mentioned nicely to her that they really needed to clean the place up. She looked at me and replied: Do you want to work here? There are people coming and going all the time . I was shocked...I will never set foot in that pigsty again, even tho it is convenient, that was the last straw.
The previous morning I waited in line over ten minutes for a cup of coffee, as there is only one person taking orders at rush hour on a regular basis.
In closing, these unsanitary conditions are a health hazard (I should know as I am a property manager ). As an added insult the attitude is rude, and prices higher for cold, dried out breakfast burritoes (which I wont buy there anymore at $2.19 in The Hood .
Thank you for listening to my concerns.
Warm regards,
JoAnn
