Dear Richard Fairbank, CEO
I have a been a long-time customer of your Capital One Credit Card. I have always made my monthly credit card payments on time. I recently ran into some financial problems and signed up with Green Path Credit Counseling Services. Capital One approved the Proposed Payment Plan with Green Path on April 5, 2017, with monthly payments of $66.00 to begin on April 25, 2017. Green Path made the monthly payments of $66.00 starting on April 25, 2017.
I found out via Credit Karma that a payment was not processed in August and that my account with Capital One is delinquent 30 days. I immediately called Green Path on October 6, 2017, spoke with the Supervisor, Michele, through her research, she found out that due to a system glitch, the $66.00 payment was not processed on August 25, 2017 to Capital One. Michele, the Green Path Supervisor, apologized for the system glitch and informed me that she will be making a payment of $66.00 on October 10, 2017 to bring the payment current.
I also called Capital One on October 6, 2017, spoke with Brittany (Specialist) and her Supervisor, Travis # SCL002, I explained what had happened to the August 25, 2017 payment and asked if she could update my credit reports, as a One-Time Courtesy, to reflect my account as Current with all 3 Credit Bureaus, once the $66.00 payment has been posted from Green Path. Travis said this is not Capital Ones fault/error and that she will not update my Credit Reports. I explained that I have been with Capital One for many years, always made my payments on time and never was delinquent. Travis still declined to update my Credit Reports as a One-Time Courtesy. I did inform Travis that I would be contacting the CEO of Capital One to resolve this issue for me. She provided me with a PO Box mailing address to contact you (Richard Fairbank). I am very unhappy with her decision not to help me as a One-Time Courtesy and that I have to contact the CEO to get the results that I am looking for.
