Dr. Eleanor Shimkin-Sorock sent a message to Stephen Burke CEO, NBCUniversal, Inc. email address that said:
Save the Newseum! Along with generally supporting the First Amendment, the Newseum has a memorial section currently listing the names of over 2300 journalists who died covering the news. Many of them, including my brother Alec Shimkin (Newsweek, died in Vietnam 1972), have no other memorial.
