Hi! My name is Silvia. My husband and I came to this country over 25 years ago. Like most immigrants, we have faced some hardships but weve overcome some of them gratefully. Im writing to you today about my daughter. Shes 15 years old and unfortunately, we didnt have enough money to throw her a quinceañera and we dont have enough for a sweet 16. Shes been through a lot for someone so young but she handles everything so gracefully and I admire that about her. Her brother was in the Iraq War and when he came back he was unfortunately diagnosed with PTSD. He used to go to therapy sessions up until about a year ago and she was always there right by his side. Theyre best friends and shes his number one supporter. Last year in July her cousin who might as well be her sister was driving to Florida to visit her dad when she had a seizure and crashed her car into a wall. Thank God she lived. When she came back she had to get a test done to see how her brain functions and how she sleeps. The test costs $3,700 and my daughter paid for it. She is the hardest worker I know and she was saving up that money to buy her dad a new car for Christmas since he has a really old one but she gave all the money to her cousin. She is the most selfless person I know and I thank God everyday for blessing me with such an amazing daughter. Youre probably reading this and wondering what I want well I just wanted to know if you would be able to help? She loves Kit Kats, Jolly Ranchers, and Brooksife Chocolate.
