I am writing this to point out how unfair the PTO system is,Under the old vacation system,I would get on the average of 110 hrs of vacation time plus about 10 hrs personal time for about $2640 dollars.Plus I got paid for 5 holidays for $1207 dollars.I also received 52 hrs of sick time for $1141 dollars if used.All together it amounts to around $5000 dollars.So far this year I have bin paid$2284 dollars for used PTO and will get around $1756 dollars for yet to be used PTO.Total its around $4000 dollars and $1000 less then the old system.I would also always know how many hrs I had to play with every Feb, When my vacation would be reset and not come up short like I have this year with my planned time off during the month of Nov and Dec.Also even though my attendance is not bad I cant even consider just taking off if its a holiday or the day before or after because here at 7030 its now a step if you do so.I was always under the impression that Sam Walton said family first but I guess that no longer applies either.
