To Whom It May Concern/Paul Latham:
Good day! Although we havent had this particular Costco Citi credit card that long, I am still reaching out to you regarding our experiences with the card, their customer service and your customer service.
As you can see by the addresses listed above we not longer live in NJ and have recently moved to Delaware. Back in November 2017, my husband reached out to Costco and the Costco credit card company customer service twice and got two different answers to his questions. There are no Costco stores where we have relocated so we decided not to renew our membership for obvious reasons- wouldnt be able to use it down here. One representative told him that if we no longer had a membership the card would automatically close and we would lose all our acquired rewards. This didnt sound right to him so he called back and then another Costco representative told him that was incorrect as we could still use our card other places and we would still receive the rewards that we had accumulated for 2017. He then told my husband that since we couldnt use the rewards at the store, since we no longer had a membership and no where to take the rewards, we could then ask for a check to be sent to us.
Now he called just yesterday, 1/2/18, to cancel the card since it was still active and we no longer use it, and that representative told us we would lose our rewards! SO which is it- are they rewards we earned all year gone? Or can we get the rewards sent to use in check form to our new address listed above? Seems that any time you call you get a difference answer and that the customer representatives need to be either retrained or trained properly to begin with!!
Please clarify this situation and I know that Citi is the credit card company (Costco Anywhere Visa Card by Citi) BUT they are poorly representing your company.
