Hi there Edward,
Im writing to you to let you know that I respect your decision to no longer sell "assault rifles" at your store. However, I must ask that you respect my entire families decision to no longer shop at your stores.
When government fails us; as it did at Parkland, its up to us to protect ourselves and our families. The genie of war, murder, and death has been out of the bottle for eons. Your lack of fortitude and perseverance in the face of biased political pressures and agendas is frankly disappointing. You, nor your employees, did not aid nor abet the murder of those kids at Parkland. You are making an illogical decision based on emotion. and not principles. Hence, it is further a reason that Ive sold all (DKS) owned stock.
Nonetheless, I do wish you the best of luck, you seem an amiable, and able man. But I wanted to let you know the "why" of my, and my families decision. We do not run, we stand our ground against violence, especially against kids. But it takes a good guy with a gun to stop and bad guy with a gun. But as you can certainly see, the people that were actually paid to protect those kids failed them. This is why our founders dis-empowered themselves and instead empowered the people. Its up to us Edward, it always has been. But sometimes there is no reasoning with a maniacal mind, and that is where the rifles you sold empowered far more people, than aided in someones demise.
