Dear Southern California Edison,
I need to request that some leniency be given to me considering the circumstances. Five years ago, I was diagnosed with a serious medical condition. I lost my job and became disabled. I was the sole financial provider for my family of three and ultimately was evicted from my apartment at the address serviced with power from your company. I am very sorry for not paying my electric bill. For the last 5 years me and my family have suffered extremely difficult times due to my enormous medical expenses combined with my small income. I made a full recovery late last year and recently have returned to work.
I humbly request that this can be account be deleted from my credit reports with Equifax and Experian. I made a payment on 7/10/2018 and the account is now paid in full. Once again, I would like to apologize to your company for neglecting my responsibilities and letting this bill to remain paid for such a long period of time.
I hope that you understand that while I am at fault for the negative credit reporting that has been placed against me, I need to request that some leniency be given to me considering the circumstances. It would greatly help my situation if this were not on my credit report. I am trying to recover from being out of work so long and stabilize my families’ future. Having this item on my credit report is drastically hurting my credit rating and making it difficult for me to secure a new apartment. I thank you for taking the time to read my letter and eagerly await your response.

Respectfully,
Christopher Anderson
