After skylanders trap team the skylander find out about a secret research lab that has been hidden from the skylander for years, the lab has had a breakthrough on time warp and traveling through different ages. The skylander are soon invited to see the new time travel creation called the skytime When things suddenly go wrong and the machine is turned on, the skylander have no control over the creations power and are sucked into a vortex of time era and are flashed to the future. in this almost post apocalyptic world they had once known as skylands, kaos and his mighty army of traptainium robots.
The skylander soon find a futuristic skylander group who call themselves time force. The new and great band of skylanders explain that kaos and a new villain (to be introduced) have taken over skylands and to protect the future of the skylanders home they must team up and defeat the villains and preserve the future of their home.
