Hello
My husband and I are on the Carolinian 80 bound for New York. Our third Thanksgiving weekend to Cary, Nc on Amtrak and it\'s lovely. The PROBLEM is the conductor who comes through to announce upcoming stations and alert passengers to their stops. Her voice is very very loud, flat, and with excessive repetitions. It is all so unnecessary and I think she just likes the sound of her own voice. Occasionally a well modulated reasonable voice comes over the intercom to tell us for example that we will be changing engines in D.C. Hers is the voice you want other staff to emulate. I know we are in the south but I don\'t remember these "hog calling" announcements on previous trips. Perhaps you could address this in staff training workshops. My husband has suggested that we could avoid the audio assault by upgrading to business class. I hope that is not necessary. Thank you for your help and your otherwise great service.
