Dear Mr. Menear

I would like to tell you about my recent experience with Home Depot. I have been working on building my own shed. This project was quite expensive, I have spent over $4000 in the Home Depot in Howell NJ. As the project is winding down the two last items I needed are the shed door sand the siding. I was able to find shed doors from your store and I ordered them and had them delivered to the Howell store. Unfortunately the siding color my wife liked was not available in my local store. A store in Oxford Valley PA had the color my wife wanted. I tried ordering on line but the item was not available to deliver to my local store. I went to visit the store in PA and the Pro Desk there told me to go see the Pro desk in my local store and they could order it. With my doors being delivered to Howell I wanted to rent a truck at that store and pick up the doors and siding, so I talked to the Pro Desk in Howell and they said it would cost $300 more to special order it. I tried contacting =customer service to see if there was anything that could be done and they told me the store can order the siding in the color I wanted and it will not cost anymore. They told me to return to the Pro Desk which I did. The gentleman now told me he had to contact the manufacturer and would call me the next day. I never received a call and when I called the store they said he was out sick. The next day I never heard from him for two more days and my doors had been delivered to the store in Howell. I then finally decided to order all my siding from the PA store and I rented a truck from the Howell store, I would pick up the doors and then go to PA and get the siding. Unfortunately the doors were damaged and I did not take them. I wasted 45 minutes of truck rental time and then had to go to PA and pick up the siding. When I got there some of the siding was outside of the cartons and all of the cartons were open. I only had time to check the count and loaded the items. I ended up paying for three hours of truck rental and still had no doors. Last weekend I started putting the siding up and each box has 24 pieces. The second box I started using had 8 pieces that were a different color. I contact Home Depot customer service and explained my issues and they gave me a $50 gift card and told me to contact the PA store and see if they can help me. I ended up having to drive back to PA and exchange the wrong color siding for the correct ones. They gave me a $53 refund for my troubles. I am still without doors and do not trust home depot enough for me to order them again. I have bene a long time and faithful customer to Home Depot and am extremely disappointed in how Home Depot has handled this situation. I am sorry to say that my next project I will not be purchasing anything from Home Depot. Thank you for listening and from now on for all my DIY projects I will be shopping at Lowes.
