@bedbathbeyond – Steven Temares – Mr. Temares, I recently purchased a last minute Christmas gift for my wife (electric blanket)

Mr. Temares,

I recently purchased a last minute Christmas gift for my wife (electric blanket) from your store in Monroeville, PA). We have frequented your store and purchased many items there over the years. As we have always been satisfied with Bed Bath and Beyond, I didn't hesitate to purchase there. My wife was very happy with the gift. She realized that she had a 20% off coupon for BB&B and went to return and repurchase with the coupon only a few days after the initial purchase. Please note that the box had never been opened. She was told by your employee that corded items could no be returned (a policy that I have never seen posted in the store). Of course, this was not really a return, just my frugal wife hoping to apply the coupon your company sent to her. Your employee would not use common sense to rectify the situation, and my wife left the establishment less than satisfied. I am not hoping for your employee to be reprimanded (I will not provide you his/her name). I simply would like you to be aware that this policy, if real, is inappropriate. It has left a very bitter taste in our mouths and my wife and I will likely be shopping elsewhere from this point on. I hope you understand my position and hope that these comments might change your policy so that others aren't treated with such disregard. If you feel so inclined to respond, such response would be welcomed. Thank you for your time.
