Good Afternoon Mr. Lavatich,

I am a dedicated Harley Owner having purchased 3 bikes in the last 5 years. I cannot express my level of disappointment with this situation. I purchased a new 2014 Harley Davidson Electra Glide Ultra Limited in 2015 off the showroom floor. This bike is constantly garaged and I am only able to ride it on the weekends. It currently only has about 6600 miles on it. It has been serviced regularly.

While riding last Saturday, my check engine light on temp light came on. Upon researching online I discover I probably need a new water pump. That has now been confirmed.

Upon reading much information on line and speaking with authorized Harley service center, it is clear this water pump issue was a known probable from the beginning. Not only was it known, but the new replacement part has been reengineered because of the issue. So now I am obviously out of warranty and will soon be out around $600 to replace this part. Needless to say, it doesn't make me feel good that Harley won't assist me at all with this issue.

I understand you can't warranty bikes for ever, but my bike is barely broken in and now I have to spend $600 on something you knew was bad with no consideration from Harley. It certainly doesn't leave a good taste in my mouth for the American made brand. You would think you could do something for a working stiff like me.

Maybe I will get lucky and someone will give a damn and respond to me. Thanks for your time!
