Richard DeHaven sent a message to Craig Menear that said:
Good morning. I purchased a dishwasher from the Home Depot in Chesapeake Va about two weeks ago. I waited until today to have it delivered and installed because it was the earliest they could deliver and install. This morning the delivery team showed up and would not install the machine because my wife had to turn the main breaker off to the house to secure power to the existing machine. The technicians said he could not install the machine with the main breaker shut off. It had to be an independent breaker that needed to be shut off. Not sure why that made a difference. I spoke to them on the phone and the technician said he could not install the machine with the main breaker the house turned off. This made absolutely no sense to me. I told him to pack his things up and leave. He hung up on me at this point. The bottom line is I paid for a delivery and install. We made it extra safe by turning off the main breaker to the house and the technician refused to install the machine. If this is the kind of service Home Depot is providing then this will be the last purchase I make from Home Depot. I now have to pay someone else to come in and install the machine. I am very dissatisfied with this purchase and experience.
