Dear Mr. Hochschild:
I recently had some financial difficulty and decided that going through Freedom Debt Relief was the solution. Just over a month later I determined this method was not for me and contacted all my creditors, Discover Card included, and made payments to bring my accounts current. All my creditors, except Discover, are set up to be paid on time. I have been in contact with your attorneys, Wickers Associates (?) and have spoken with Tanya McClure and D. Rodriguez who assured me that if I faxed them a letter stating I had cancelled Freedom my account would be reinstated - this was around September 25th or shortly thereafter. A week later, I called again and spoke with Rachel Haley who confirmed they received my fax and it would take a few more days. A few days later, I logged into the Discover Card site and still not able to make a payment I called and spoke with a gentleman in Customer Service who asked me to fax them the same as I did to the attorneys. I did then a couple of days they confirmed for me that they received it but that it would take another 5 days to reinstate my account. This is beyond ridiculous. I am trying to a darned payment and your company can't accept it because they closed out my account? Why would that be? Actually I was told it was on hold? So it takes almost a month and a half to release a hold?
The 5th day of the "...another 5 days..." mentioned above is tomorrow. I fully expect to be able to make a payment without late fees or extra interest. I've had the funds ($100.00) ready to send to you since October 23rd but the ineptitude of company is preventing me from doing so. No other company I've dealt with has even begun to display this kind of incompetency.
Regretfully,
Diane R. Keller
