Dear Mr. Corbat:

Good Afternoon Mr. Corbat, My name is Salaadina Stepney and I was a client of Citibank in 2009. First, I hope that all is well with you and your family during these trying times. I was a freshman in college and fresh out of foster care in 2009. With no job, money, or financial knowledge whatsoever, I received a promotional ad from Citi to apply for a college credit card. I was desperate and its no one's fault that I ignorantly applied but I did. I didn't know any of what I was reading and was extremely ignorant to all things financial. No one ever educated me on financial anything and I didnt know i even had the capacity to learn it at the time. I know you may get many letters asking for forgiveness but I have never had a credit card since then. I went into collections because I didn't have any money, i even dropped out of college due to the independent living program losing its funding for me as a foster child. Fast forward 11 years later, I am in Nursing school and will graduate. I have 3 children and a Husband. I am getting harassing calls from different companies. If i could please just get 1 year to pay off my debt without the harassment, i would more than appreciate it. I just need time to get into my career and be able to pay this only debt other than student loans and 2 medical accounts that I have ever had in my life. I am trying my best. Please If you could have them wait a little longer or excuse this debt, I will highly appreciate it. Please help Mr. Corbat. I wish you all the best.
