I am reaching out on behalf of my client who has concerns about a new construction property in the Forbes Crossing subdivision in Houston Texas where he is under contract. According to the City of Houston, the permit application was returned to Centex on May 14, 2020 for correction of a square footage error but, to date, nothing has been done about it. The sales representative does not have any information and my client is frustrated to see that other lots are now under construction when they were not released when he signed his contract 6 months ago. He feels that no one is interested in correcting the permit application error so his home can be constructed. I have represented many clients on Centex purchases in the past and it is disappointing that my client has to continue to put his life on hold waiting for his new home when he was told in December 2019 that he would have a May closing. My client asked me to go as far to the top as possible to get this issue resolved. I would appreciate speaking to someone who can assist with the permit issue so we can move forward.
