Melissa sent a message to Brian Cornell that said:
Hi There, My son is 9 years old and he is making a Rubber Band Ball, He has high functioning autism and his goal is to make the biggest rubber band ball. He recently read the Guinness book of world records and its a big and expensive goal, and I wanted to reach out and see if you all would be willing to donate to his project, after he makes it, he will be auctioning it off and donating the money to charity. I hope you all can help with this project as the amount of rubber bands he will need is very expensive and I am a single mother and I want to support his dream. Thank you for your help in advance. Right now his ball is 40 inches around, but if you dont have that big of ones, he ties them together also. He has received a few other donations and I wanted to reach out to you all as well. We will definitely tag you on Facebook if that is something you want. We appreciate any help you can give us towards this goal . Attached is a current picture. Any type of rubberband, elastic, pallet bands anything will help him.
