I am currently in hour 36 of the longest Internet service outage I have experienced in a decade. Yesterday, as a direct result of this outage, I was unable to deliver a scheduled, livestreamed webinar that I had been working for months to develop with a client.

Spectrum customer support has refused to give even the slightest bit of information regarding the cause of the outage or the estimated time to service restoration. I have since come to understand, however, that this outage was caused by scheduled maintenance activities with known areas of impact. Assuming this to be true, and had I been notified of these scheduled activities in advance, I could have made the appropriate plans to mitigate the impact of the outage. However, as it stands, I have been blindsided by an ongoing, multi-day outage that has already cost me directly and damaged my relationship with a long-standing client.

I do not know where the dysfunction in your organization resides, but I do know that it persists under your leadership.
