Philomena Ostapchuk sent a message to Stefano Pessina that said:
I recently went to a Walgreens to obtain my flu shot; Walgreens has been one of my go to places since retiring. I am living in a very small town in Maine and the Walgreens serves people from many miles in the area. If I've learned anything in being in Maine since May; people will drive to get what they need. So the Walgreens here in Bethel is essential. The people working the pharmacy were very busy; students coming in for vaccines, people walking in to get prescriptions filled, and others, like me, getting vaccines like flu shots. I made an appointment; but they are understaffed (apparently requested being able to hire another pharmacist but told they couldn't) and so I waited, wearing my mask but wishing I didn't have to spend much tijme in the store. Walgreens serves many in the area; the pharmacy needs more staff. I was frustrated and angry and the person who waited on me was wonderful. Calm and caring and understanding and so we had a conversation about what they need. They need more pharmacists at the Bethel, Maine store. They are great people, you should be proud of them as they represent your company well.
