On December 22, 2017, my sister and I traveled from Philadelphia to San Antonio on flight 6696. We arrived late that afternoon and began the journey to retrieve our bags and rental car.
I was feeling breathless and "not myself" so we both sat down at the desk area. I realized I might not be able to walk to baggage so requested two wheelchair transports.
Things turned worse. I had a constant pain in the mid-chest, began sweating, became nauseous - the classic signs of a heart attack. I took some nitroglycerin for the pain, a passenger gave me an aspirin to chew and another a bottle of water. Judy, my sister, went over to the desk to speak with Paul and Jennifer. Very efficiently and quietly, they both notified EMS, etc. and stayed with us until EMS took over.
I was sent by ambulance to a local hospital while Paul remained with my sister. He assisted her to baggage when I was removed from the scene.
I can truly extol your customer service but also your employees kindness and sincere concern.
Please accept my applause on these two outstanding employees. I am fine now but am still bathed in their kindnesses to us.
Sincerely, Diane G. Bean
