While you sleep in your warm mansion, my two little girls are without electricity and heat for a 4th day. Angry doesnt begin to describe how I feel today. My newborn is sick and her symptoms are worsening with each cold day. Your company has FAILED to effectively communicate with you over-paying customers. Stop looking at us as dollar signs and start looking at as as human beings.
You may not value my life or safety today because I am but one customer, but you will value us when companies, residents and entire cities rid themselves of the antiquated infrastructure that is DTE. You may claim this is Once in a Lifetime event, but with climate change, I a guarantee this will not be the last event of this magnitude. You are paid 1.2 million a year to serve customers and keep us safe.
Today my children are hungry and cold, our perishable food has been destroyed, we have no where to go long-term and are in the dark and cold. I am ashamed to be a customer of DTE and will be working closely with city officials to change this in the coming days and weeks.
